Hershey World of Chocolate

Mom and me woke up at almost the same time this morning when her alarm went and about an hour after Cassie woke up because she's always the one sleeping in mostly.  Then mom and I were done get ready and Cassie was a bit behind so we went to get a seat at breakfast, where they had waffles, cereal, muffins, donuts, toast, good drinks and boiled eggs.  Cassie finally came and ate some breakfast.

We headed to Hershey World where the show how to make chocolate.  The first thing we went on was a 15 minute tour where you ride on a vehicle.  It was a bit cheap but it was worth it because it was free.  When we saw the chocolate we were getting hungry.

After the tour we check out our picture that was taken on the tour and Cassie covered her face because she was being a goof.  After that we bought tickets for 3 more attractions.  First we went on the Chocolate Tasting school, which is a room where we each got a bag, bottle of water and chocolate milk.  In the bag was 5 different chocolates.  The point was to compare each by color, smell, some we had to break to hear how hard it is, and check break line to see what it looks like, then we had to taste it.  We were introduced to a mixture milk, chocolate and cinnamon, and coffee, we had to blow bubbles in it to froth it.  We all received a Master's Degree in Chocolate Tasting from the Hershey's University.

After that we went to the 3D show which was a bit wierd because it was talking about the history of hershey then computer animated guys busted in the show and ruined the lecture.  There was a opening part, romance, kisses.  They had confetti, bubbles, streamers and fake snow fall from the ceiling that was part of the show.

Then was the best part of the whole factory.  Making your own chocolate bar.  So we had to wear hairnets and aprons, and santize our hands.  We had to scan our ticket so they would know the right person to give chocolate to.  You could choose milk chocolate, dark chocolate or white chocolate.  I chose white, mom chose milk and Cassie chose dark.  Then after that we had to the inclusion parts which was the flavours we wanted to add.  There was a choice between chocolate cookie crumbs, mini chocolate chips, almonds, sprinkles, pretzel pieces, or butter toffee crunch and you could choose 3. I chose the cookie and chocolate chip inclusions, mom did chocolate chips, almonds and butter toffee crunch, and Cassie chose butter toffee crunch, almond, and cookie crumbs.  It's pretty funny though because mom, Cassie and me each chose different flavours of chocolate bar which means we got all 3 flavours.  Then the coolest part of the thing was we got to see our chocolate bars being made.  We had to scan our ticket, pull a lever and watch our bar to on the moving belt.  Our chocolate bars had HERSHEY inside the bar, once they add the inclusions it gets coated with milk chocolate finishing.  Then it went in a giant tube of cooling, then we moved on to the section of making our own wrapper.  Basically we had to scan our ticket again, we got to customize the colour and size of words, and graphics then you check how much time until your bar is finished, then you can watch it get package into boxed and being put in your own tin and your wrapper goes on.  Then we took off aprons and stuff then went to gift shop.  We bought some goods.

Then we were off like a herd of turtles on the road to Ohio.  Tomorrow we are going to Cedar Point amusement park.
